Mormon Neighbors Yell At My Mom?

We have mormon neighbors, and they always call the cops on us for ‘indecent exposure.” because my mom tans in a swimsuit in OUR backyard. Is it fair for them to call the cops? I know that the mormon religion believes in modesty, but isn’t it our decision what to wear in our own home? Our backyards are separated by a very tall stone fence, and the only way to see into our backyard would be for them to look through an upstairs window in their house. Shouldn’t my mom be able to tan in privacy, and where she wants in our own property?

It IS her right and your neighbors are wrong. However, what an annoying chick to live next to. Not being able to walk by a single window in your house without seeing the bimbo barbie doll half naked next door. Yuck. That would get old. Doesnt change the fact that its still not illegal and the neighbors need to get over it.
Or, build a better fence on their side.
Mormons (members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) come in many different “flavors”. Some are very strict (kind of like orthodox Jews) and others are more understanding.
These people, regardless of their religion, do have a problem. Your mother can (and should) lodge a complaint against them for harassment and likely make it stick.
Added: I also like CC’s response. Do it and the next time they call the police, hit them with charges of being peeping Tom’s (illegal in most communities). After all, they’ve been warned.
i use ot do the same as an ex-mormon, only I used baby oil and now I have skin cancer, tell your mom to be careful and not do it all the time, because she can get skin cancer as I did.

The cops are probably wondering why they’re even responding to these calls instead of doing something useful.
Surely the cops should charge them with persecuting your mom, wasting police time and for disgracing and denigrating Christianity by claiming to be part of it?.
I get your point but remember in america we are not always free even in our own properties. Once we buy our houses there are always taxes
